Theoretical research, related to rehabilitation and welfare for people with disabilities.

Research to use at the field of welfare for people with disabilities, and research regarding innovative experimental study and literature review, and creative paper with critical view.



2. Qualification for submission 


Members of the Rehabilitation Research Institute affiliated with RI Korea (who pays annual fee of 30,000 won) 



3. Principles of manuscripts Submission 


1. A manuscript that is already published in other scientific journals cannot be submitted. 


2. A summary of published studies (reports, books and dissertations) and presentation of national/international conferences can be submitted with clear notice. 


3. Based on the “Bioethics and Safety Act (amended on February 2nd, 2013)”, all research that target human being must obtain approval prior to conducting the research by the Institution Review Board (IRB). All manuscripts on human, submitted to the journal of Rehabilitation Welfare since July 2015 will be also accepted when they had obtained approval by IRB. In following two years, however, in case that researchers’ agencies, schools or institutions have not established IRB system, manuscripts would be accepted when ethical review process has completed (partially amended on September 13th, 2015). 


4. KCI similarity test result should be submitted along with a manuscript to establish proper research ethical culture (partially amended on September 13th, 2015).



4. Schedule of Publication 


● Issue #1: Issue date March 31st (Deadline of submission January 31st)

● Issue #2: issue date June 30th (deadline of submission April 30th)

● Issue #3: issue Date September 30th (Deadline of submission July 31st)

● Issue #4: Issue date December 31st (Deadline of submission October 31st)



5. Preparation Manuscript 


Manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the specific guidelines, presented in the following chapter. 



6. Manuscript Submission (partially amended on December 29th, 2020) 


1. Submission materials are including original manuscript, submission application, author’s personal research information sheet, KCI similarity test result.

2. All parts of the manuscript must be submitted via online submission system (http://submission.freeget.net).


3. Membership Charges (partially amended on June 30th, 2014)

● Annual membership is 30,000 Korean Won.

● Peer review charge is 120,000 Korean Won.

● Publication charge is 180,000 Korean Won.

※ But in the case of manuscript supported by research grant, charge is 250,000 Korean Won)

※ Full-length manuscripts generally should not exceed 20 pages (including abstract, text, references, tables, and figures), and if it exceeds, 10,000 Korean Won per page will be additionally charged. (partially amended on June 30th, 2014).


4. When manuscripts’ topics have not been suit with the subject of the Journal of Rehabilitation Research, and when ethical violation has found, and manuscripts have not prepared based on the given manual, submission of manuscript will be rejected.

7. Peer Review 


All manuscripts will have peer review by the editorial committee of the Journal of Rehabilitation Research on peer review guidelines, presented in chapter III.



8. Copyright 


The copyright of a manuscript, which has already published or confirmed its publication in the Journal of Rehabilitation Research is owned by Rehabilitation Research Institute affiliated with RI Korea so cannot be published on other journals without permission. 



9. Number and Order of Publication 


1. The number of manuscripts is limited to 15 per issue. If accepted, but not included in the present issue, the manuscript will automatically be carried over to the next issue.


2. The order of manuscript in an issue shall be based on the order of manuscript submission, but the editorial committee may decide their order in the final issue.
